“But what if I’m not good enough?” She asked, worry playing across her features. Kevin scoffed inwardly. As if she’d ever be bad at anything.

“Don’t sweat it,” he said, smiling at her, “we’ll meet tomorrow and I’ll give you a couple pointers before we record.” Macy squealed and nothing could’ve prepared him for what happened next.

“Thank you, thank you!” She screamed, flying into his arms and knocking him into the floor. Kevin grunted, hitting the floor at high speed. Now he understood why she played football. She was wonderful at tackling.

“Oh,” she said, looking down at him with concern on her face, “I’m sorry…” she trailed off and Kevin swallowed. He could feel her breath hitting his face and her hair brushed against his cheek.

“No…” he said, a little dazed, “it’s okay.” He stared at her, heart pounding. She shifted on top of him slightly, putting her hands on his chest so she could push herself up slightly. He swallowed. Her movement was making this position a little…

“Kev…” she said, shifting again.

“Y-yeah?” He asked, his voice a little high pitched. If she moved one more time he was going to lose it.

“Can you let go of me?” She asked.

“Huh?” He asked, noticing for the first time that his arms were fastened tightly around her waist. “Oh!” He said, releasing her, “oh, I’m sorry.”

“No, it’s okay,” Macy said, smirking at him and trying to push herself up off the floor. A second later she slipped and fell back down on top of him.

“I am so sorry!” She said, freaking out, “I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m…” she trailed off, eyes locking with his. Kevin swore his heart skipped a beat.

“It’s okay,” he responded in a whisper. Even though it wasn’t really okay. It was less than okay. He didn’t think he could take much more of her moving.

“I’m just gonna…” she trailed off, and he frowned. He didn’t want her to go, but he didn’t want her to keep shifting nervously either. Not to mention, people were starting to give them some pretty crazy looks.

Macy shifted again and Kevin tilted his head back, wincing when he cracked it against the floor.

“Are you okay?” She asked, more shifting.

“God, Macy,” Kevin said, “if you’re not gonna get up, can you at least stop moving around?” Macy swallowed and bit her lip.

“Am I hurting you?” She whispered. Kevin wondered why that sounded more seductive than he thought she meant it to sound.

“Something like that,” he responded. It would hurt if she kept moving and his tight pants got even tighter. So it was kind of like she was hurting him.

“I don’t know if I can get up…” she said, trying to hold still. She failed, shifting again. Kevin gasped, cracking his head against the floor again. God, he wished she’d stop. It was so distracting and he took a deep breath, trying to get his mind to wander elsewhere. He didn’t want to focus on the girl pressed against him.

“Try rolling off?” He suggested. Anything to get her off of him. This position was so uncomfortable. He might have to get Stella to loosen his pants a little. Especially if he was going to have more run-ins with Macy like this one.

“Okay,” she said, starting to roll to the side, only to be stopped by a crowd of students walking passed. “Oh god. I almost got trampled,” she said, rolling back on top of him. Kevin groaned. Did God hate him? Was that it? Is that why a very cute, athletic brunette with a football helmet on was currently laying on top of him? She shifted again.

“Macy!” He said, head hitting the floor again. She was going to end up giving him a concussion. He already couldn’t think right…now she wants to move all around and…straddle his waist?

“Sorry about this,” she said, straddling his waist, practically sitting on his stomach, “I’m gonna just stand up now.” Kevin didn’t say anything, he was too busy trying not to think,oh god she’s straddling my waist…over and over. By the way, it wasn’t working. Macy lingered for a few seconds longer. He wished she’d stand up. Oh god he wished she’d stand up. There were people around them. He had a reputation. And there was a girl straddling his waist in the middle of a school hallway. That just screamed scandal. He could see the camera phones whipping out now.

Almost sensing his aggravation, she struggled to her feet and Kevin looked up at her.Finally.

“It was nice laying here on the floor with you, Kev,” Macy said.

“Yeah,” he responded, sitting up and grabbing what she had previously knocked from his hands to the floor. It was real nice. He scrambled to his feet, and looked up and down the hall frantically. Why did this kind of stuff always happen to him?

“Well…” she said, flashing him a nervous smile, “thanks. See you tomorrow.” Kevin groaned inwardly. Tomorrow? He hoped she didn’t jump on him again tomorrow.

“Cool,” he said, voice breaking. She made him nervous and awkward and tingly…and…he swallowed. Tomorrow was going to be a long day.

Three Seconds: A JONAS drabble fanfiction

My sister (Moon Bound Fantasies) is making me write this. If I get 100 reviews, I have to make it a chapter fic instead of a drabble. I don’t want to do that because this idea seems incredibly strange to begin with. So…yeah.

Macy Misa sat on her bathroom floor, staring at the clear result on her pregnancy test. She swallowed and pulled out her cell phone, hitting a number on her speed dial and placing the phone against her ear.

“Macy?” Her best friend, Stella Malone asked. Macy sniffled.

“Stella…” She whimpered, dropping her test on the floor and wiping her eyes. She heard her best friend shift on the other line nervously.

“Mace, are you okay?” She asked, “do you need me to come over?”

“No,” Macy sniffled, “I’m not okay. I have to tell you something.”

“Do you want me to come over?” Macy whimpered shrilly.

“It’d be easier to tell you over the phone.” Macy heard Stella shift again.

“Mace…” her best friend said, her voice sounding dangerous, “what’d you do? If you messed up those red pumps, I swear to—” Macy cut her off, “It’s not about the pumps. It’s worse.”

“What could possibly be worse than ruining my red pu—”Macy cut her best friend off again, “Your boyfriend got me pregnant!” She sobbed into the receiver.

Joe did what?” Stella asked. Macy blanched.

“Wait…you’re dating Joe?” Macy practically screamed.

“You’re pregnant?” Stella shouted back.

“When were you going to tell me you were dating Joe freaking Lucas?” Macy said, her voice shrill.

“Oh, I don’t know, Mace,” Stella said, “about the same time you were going to tell me my boyfriend got you pregnant.” Stella sounded pissed now and Macy winced.

“It wasn’t Joe,” Macy said, hearing Stella sigh with relief. Was there really any doubt in her mind that it wasn’t him? Joe would never do something like that.

“Then who was it?” Stella asked, overlooking the fact that Macy, her best friend, had slept with a guy she had been previously dating…while she had been dating him. Macy mumbled something unintelligible.

“I’m sorry, what?” Stella asked. Macy mumbled something again. Stella growled in frustration. “Macy Misa! If you don’t tell me who got you—”Macy interjected, “It was Van Dyke, okay!” She shrieked into the phone. Stella gasped.

“Van Dyke Taush?” Stella asked. Macy rolled her eyes. As if there was another guy with that stupid of a name that went to her school.

“As if there’s another guy named Van Dyke that goes to our school,” Macy said.

“There is actually,” Stella responded, “There’s Van Dyke Moore and Van Dyke West and Van Dyke…” Stella trailed off. What was wrong with the people around here? Didn’t they know naming their son Van Dyke was like, social suicide? Though it didn’t seem to harm Van Dyke Taush…

“How’d this even happen?” Stella asked, “I thought you were smarter than that.”

“Apparently I’m not,” Macy responded, staring down at the positive pregnancy test. “Besides, it wasn’t like I wanted to.”

“Oh my god,” Stella said, “Did he force himself on you, Macy!”

“No, Stella,” she said, “it wasn’t anything like that. It just kind of happened too fast for me to even realize what was happening.”

“You didn’t realize what was happening when he was undressing you?” Stella asked, a bit skeptical. Macy blushed.

“It didn’t really happen like that.”

“How do you have sex with your clothes still on?”

“There are ways,” Macy responded, thinking of how he shoved her against her gym locker, kissing her roughly. She didn’t know why she even let him. She knew he and Stella were together. She guessed she just liked the attention. It wasn’t like she was getting any attention from the guy she really had feelings for. Seeing as how now he too was dating her best friend.

“Well…” Stella trailed off, “Was he any good?” Macy sighed, shifting so she was laying her back against the cold linoleum floor and staring up at her ceiling.

“Your first time is never good,” Macy responded, “especially when he only lasts like three seconds.” Stella giggled on the other line.

“Big bad jock, Van Dyke can only last three seconds?” She asked, more giggles.

“What are you talking about, Stella?” Macy heard someone ask in the background.

“Nothing, Joseph,” Stella responded, “Gotta go, Mace.” Then the line went dead. Macy sat there, stunned. Had Joe heard that whole conversation? She sighed, rolling over against her stomach on the floor and closing her eyes. She tossed her phone against the floor and felt the familiar sting of tears.

How could she be so stupid?

Unfaithful: Chapter 3 (There is no epilogue)

BEGIN &&

Kevin didn’t know what he had just witnessed. Well, it wasn’t that he didn’t know, it was more like he didn’t want to believe what he had just witnessed. He had always trusted his younger brother to do the right thing and make the right choices. Sure, there had always been rumors, but it never crossed his mind that there would be truth to them. It never occurred to him that his brother was blatantly disregarding a pledge he had taken; a promise he had made.

Now, Kevin wasn’t sure if he could ever respect his brother again. He didn’t know what would’ve possessed him to do something like that. And what was worse was the fact that he hadn’t been with—

STELLA!” Macy protested from downstairs, trying to pull free from her best friend’s grip. She didn’t understand why it was such a big deal that she was wearing Joe’s clothes. Okay, so she did understand what a big deal that was, but she couldn’t understand why Stella was making such a big deal out of it. Sure, he was her boyfriend and all, but it wasn’t like Macy hadn’t stolen clothes from the Lucas brothers before.

“Stop struggling, Macy,” Stella growled, “you’re the one who decided you were going to—” Macy growled in frustration, trying to tug her wrist free from Stella’s—pretty much—iron grasp. She was certain now that she was going to have a nice bruise in the shape of Stella’s fingers. Not to mention a hickey in the shape of Joe’s lips. Not that it’d actually look like Joe’s lips, but there would be a hickey. She could feel it forming now.

“Let me go!” Macy shrieked, pulling even harder. Stella pulled her father into the firehouse, her grip not even budging an inch. She wondered when Stella had gotten so strong. It wasn’t like Macy was weak, she was an athlete, for crying out loud. But, Stella did have to put up with three rowdy boys. The same boys that were descending the stairs right now.

“What’s going on down here?” Nick asked, jumping over the last few steps to stare at where Macy and Stella stood in the living room. Macy continued to struggle. If his brothers realized what she was wearing it was going to be obvious. She was surprised it wasn’t obvious to Stella. Maybe she was in denial.

“Macy here decided it would be—”Macy continued to struggle, debating on biting Stella’s arm to see if she’d finally let her go—”a good idea to—”Stella grunted, almost losing her grip—”Macy! Quit struggling!”

“Are those Joe’s clothes?” Nick asked, raising a questioning eyebrow at Macy before turning around to look at his older brother. Joe avoided his gaze, trying to focus on Macy and Stella in the center of the living room.

“Joe?” Kevin asked, moving farther into the room when he noticed how awkward things were getting for his younger brother. Joe tore his gaze from Macy slowly, turning to look at the oldest of the three brothers.

“Yeah, Kev?” Joe asked, swallowing when he noticed there was some kind of broken sadness in his oldest brother’s eyes. He wondered what had hurt him bad enough to make it overshadow the soft smile he had on his face.

“I think Macy is wearing your clothes,” he said, in a matter-of-fact tone. He motioned towards the girl who had now stopped struggling and was looking at the scene that was unfolding. Joe turned back to her slowly, he didn’t know how to answer that. He knew those were his clothes. He was the one who had given them to her. But, he didn’t think she’d get caught in them by Stella.

“I’m sorry I took them,” Macy said, meeting Joe’s eyes and trying to get him to play along, “I guess I haven’t outgrown my obsessive phase just yet.”

Joe sighed and chewed on his lip. He looked like the cat that ate the canary. If he would just play along they would be home free, but with him looking so guilty…

“It’s okay, Mace,” Joe said, “I didn’t really like those clothes anyway.” He shot her a smile and she swallowed.

“Joe,” Nick said, “that’s your favorite shirt…” he motioned to the shirt Macy was wearing and everyone in the room looked over at her.

“No, Nick,” Joe said, voice cracking a bit with nerves, “I changed my mind. That one isn’t my favorite anymore.”

Macy swallowed again. She was wearing Joe’s favorite shirt? Why did that make her more excited than it probably should’ve? What was so exciting about the idea of Joe letting her wear something he cherished? It was Joe and not Kevin.

She glanced up, looking around the room and trying to locate the Lucas brother that she was dating. She found him still lingering by the stairs and looking at her with sad eyes. She wondered what made him so sad, but now was certainly not the time to ask. She tilted her head to the side, watching as he crossed his arms awkwardly.

“But that’s been your favorite shirt for forever,” Nick argued, “you can’t change your mind that quickly. I know you, Joe.” Joe just shrugged.

“It wasn’t a quick change. It’s been going on for awhile.”

Macy turned her attention back to the conversation. Something had changed in the conversation. It was like they weren’t even talking about the shirt anymore. It was like they were talking about something completely different.

“How long is awhile?” Nick asked, “how long has this…shirt not been your favorite one?” Joe spared a glance at Macy and then one at Stella.

“Not long,” he said, “but I guess I spent most of my life really liking that shirt, but once I found a new one, a different one, a better one…I realized that I didn’t like that shirt as much as I thought I did. I realized that there was another shirt. One that fit me better.” He looked at her for a split second when he said that, a soft smile appearing on his face.

Nick looked over at her too, a frown forming on his usually expressionless lips.

“But what about your favorite pants?” Nick continued, looking back at his brother, “your new favorite shirt doesn’t match your pants. They go with another pair of pants.”

Macy looked over at Stella for help, but she was looking quite confused herself.

“Wait…” Stella said, “how do you know his new favorite shirt doesn’t match his favorite pants? You haven’t even seen it…” Nick and Joe ignored her.

“My favorite pants should be able to understand. They should understand that I really love this new shirt, and I really need this new shirt.”

“Your favorite pants don’t understand,” Kevin butted in, moving farther into the room and jumping into the conversation.

Both brothers looked at him in shock.

“Your favorite pants think you should stay with your old favorite shirt. They match better. It’s not about how they fit you, but how they match your pants. Besides, your new favorite shirt is my shirt and I’m not giving it to you.”

“What’s going on?” Macy asked, walking closer to the boys.

The three of them stared at her and then at Stella who looked equally as confused as Macy did.

“How did Joe come to like a shirt that’s Kevin’s?” Stella asked, “You two aren’t even the same size. Everything I make for you is a custom fit.”

“That’s a good question, Stella,” Kevin said, “one I’m sure Joe would like to answer.”

Joe looked terrified and at that moment it all fell into place for Macy.

They weren’t talking about clothes at all. They were talking about her and Stella. She was Kevin’s shirt, the one Joe loved, but…oh wow. This was confusing, even when you knew which shirt was which.

“Joe?” Stella asked. Joe swallowed.

“Stella…” Joe said, “You know I love you…” he trailed off, and in that second, everything fell into place for Stella as well.

“Are you…breaking up with me?” She asked, her voice strained. Joe looked down at his shoes, chewing on his bottom lip.

“I don’t know how else to do this,” Joe said, “I have feelings for someone else…and it isn’t fair to you.”

“Who is she?” Stella asked, tears rolling down her cheeks, “how long have you—”

“Stella,” Macy said softly, cutting her best friend off. Stella stopped talking and turned to look at where her best friend was standing, tears forming in her eyes too. Macy sighed, looking away from Stella and at Joe and then at Kevin.

“Macy?” Stella whispered, turning back to Joe, “it’s Macy?” Joe swallowed and nodded. Kevin took a deep breath in through his nose.

“I knew it,” Nick muttered before continuing, louder, “ever since that night when I came home and you two were upstairs watching TV and cuddling in one of the chairs. You told me you were waiting for Kevin and Stella, but…” Nick stopped there, shaking his head in disappointment.

“How long has this been going on?” Stella asked, more tears falling.

“About a month,” Macy responded, “it’s still really new.” Stella shook her head, a sob escaping her lips.

“Why?” She asked, “was I not enough for you, Joe? Why Macy? Why cheat on me with my best friend?” Joe shook his head.

“I don’t know,” he responded. It was a lie. He liked the way Macy responded to his advances. She gave him what he wanted, whereas Stella held out. She stopped him too soon. Macy never said no. It was lust. Or it was at first, but now he had real feelings for her. He wanted to be able to give her a choice, he wanted her to be able to tell him no. It was strange how it all happened. Maybe he was meant to be with Macy after all.

“I didn’t tell him no,” Macy responded, “it was purely a physical relationship.” Kevin and Stella looked over at her, eyes questioning. Macy continued, “I could give him things you wouldn’t,” she said, looking directly at Stella, “and he gave me the things I craved from you,” she said, changing her gaze and looking directly at Kevin. “I’m sorry you two had to get hurt like this.”

“No,” Joe said, “It may have started out as physical,” he looked at Macy, brown eyes locking with hers, “but I really fell for you.” Macy laughed and shook her head.

“Joe,” Macy said, “I get it. Stella is the girl of your dreams, I’m just the girl you wanted to use and throw away.”

Joe wanted to scream. He wanted to tell her she was wrong, but he didn’t know how. She had everything set in her mind as how it was supposed to be. He wasn’t going to be able to change that.

“Macy,” Joe said, “please…” It was all he could think of to say. He wanted her to believe him, but…

“It’s okay, Joe,” Macy said, looking at Kevin, “I guess this is good-bye, I’m sorry I hurt you.”

Kevin didn’t say anything, he couldn’t think of anything to say.

“I’ll send the clothes back after I wash them,” she said, smiling and turning around to leave. No one stopped her; the room remained in a stunned silence as she slipped through the front door and out of their lives.

Okay, don’t hate me for the ending. There’s an epilogue coming. I’m sorry this chapter sucked. I worked on it for a really long time. So I wish it could’ve been better, but this was the idea that came out. But seriously, it’s not the end. I’ll answer the questions about the whole “what about school” and stuff. I swear. Just hang in there and please don’t hate me.

Chapter Two
Back In

BEGIN &&

Macy wasn’t sure why she couldn’t just be happy with Kevin. He was sweet, caring, and the best boyfriend she could ever ask for. But he was also against many of the things she craved. His younger brother, however, would give her anything she wanted. He would quench her thirst for certain sensations.

“Kevin?” She called into the boy’s bedroom at the Lucas’ house. The eldest Lucas brother had texted her ten minutes prior, asking her to come over. However, she had yet to find him. In fact, she had yet to find anyone other than Sandy, the boys’ mother who had let her in. But she doubted their mother even really saw her, she had been on the phone, talking rapidly while flipping through a cookbook and a magazine.

She called his name again, pushing open the door to the bathroom that the boys shared.

The door had been left slightly ajar, but even so, she still found herself closing her eyes as she made her way into the room. She felt the moist sensation of steam hitting her face and she opened her eyes, confused.

“Kevin?” She asked, walking father into the bathroom, wondering how the room had accumulated so much steam when the door had been left open slightly. She walked past their roomy cabinets, the mirror, and the sink before stopping to stand between the large bathtub and the shower.

“Kev—ACK,” she said, someone grabbing her arm and yanking her into the shower. The shower that was running with very warm water. She shrieked, moving against the wall and trying not to get wet. Near her, someone laughed.

“So not funny,” she whined, reaching to open the shower door so she could escape. She didn’t even care to look at who it was, she was too preoccupied with escaping.

“Mace,” the voice said, reaching out and grabbing her hand, stopping her from making her way out. She looked up then, her eyes locking with—of course—Joe Lucas. He had an amused smile on his lips, eyes dancing with laugher.

Macy swallowed. Her eyes roaming over her bare chest, willing herself not to look any lower. But, really, it was too late, her curious gaze was already moving along the contours of his stomach and to the top of his…swim trunks?

“Do you always where swim trunks when you shower?” Macy asked, looking up at him with an amused look on her face.

“Do you always check me out when I’m wearing swim trunks in the shower?”

“This is the first time I’ve been in a shower with you,” she responded, moving a little closer to him before remembering she was here to see Kevin and not Joe. “Where’s your brother?” She asked.

“What brother?” He responded, tracing his fingertips along her arm. She shivered.

“The brother I’m dating,” she responded, “he texted me and told me to—” He cut her off, leaning forward to whisper, seductively in her ear, “We really should get you out of those wet clothes.” She swallowed, shivering again.

“But…Kevin…” she tried to protest. Joe chuckled, ending her sentence for her, “isn’t here.” He reached for the bottom of her shirt, pulling it over her head. She made no move to stop him.

“Where?” She asked, watching as he tossed her shirt over the door to the shower. He grabbed the bottom of the cami she had on underneath her shirt, removing that before he answered.

“He’s taking Frankie for ice cream,” Joe responded, “they should be gone for quite awhile.” He tossed her cami over the door and started to unzip her skirt.

“But he texted me…” she trailed off, feeling him slide her skirt down her legs. She stepped out of it, accustomed to being in this sort of situation with Joe. She shower was new, but the lack of clothing was not.

“Correction,” Joe said, tossing her skirt and he shoes over the shower door, “I texted you from Kevin’s phone.” Macy stared at him for a long moment.

“Joe,” Macy said, “that was incredibly, stupid. What if he reads it?” Joe shook his head.

“I deleted it,” Joe said, “I know how to sneak around.” Macy stared at him questioningly.

“You’ve done this before?” She asked, head tilted to the side, eyebrows raised. Joe shook his head.

“Not what I meant,” he responded, tracing the strap of her bra from her shoulder all the way to the top of her breast. She swallowed. She wanted to ask him what else he could’ve meant by that…but right now her mind didn’t see to know how to form words.

“Macy,” he whispered her name in a soft warning, reaching up and tugging her hair tie out of her hair, and pressing her against the wet wall of she shower with such force that it knocked the air out of her lungs. Joe was always rough and a little unconventional.

She gasped his name, his hand slipping between her legs, drawing circles against her thigh with his finger. She whimpered and moaned, arching her back into him and parting her legs farther to give him more access.

He grabbed a fistful of her hair and pulled her head back, pressing his lips against her neck roughly. She gasped when he nipped at her flesh. He was being so forceful tonight, so seductive.

“J-joe,” she breathed, pressing her palms against his back and resisting the urge to dig her nails into him. He took a small bit of the skin from her neck into his mouth, sucking gently. If only Kevin would touch her like this she wouldn’t be in this situation. She wouldn’t have to betray her best friend and her boyfriend. She wouldn’t crave this attention from him.

He moved his hand higher, tracing his finger along the line of her panties. She swallowed, nails digging into his back. He hissed, moving his hand up, fingertips tracing over her stomach, upwards to her neck.

She wondered how far he would go tonight when he traced his fingers along her bra, moving both his hands from their previous positions to rest on the clasps holding the article of clothing against her skin. He unclasped the first one and Macy took a deep breath. The air around them was moist, the water spraying against her skin. It felt nice, almost as nice as the feeling of his stomach pressed against her and his fingers undoing the second clasp.

There was one left, she realized. His fingers lingered on that one for a long moment. It was as if he were asking her if she was sure. She didn’t think he had to ask permission. They were both in a situation where they were using the other to satisfy whatever need their current, incredibly devoted, significant others could not satisfy. She was in no position to deny him.

He undid the last clasp, moving himself closer to her as he slid his hands up her back, pushing the straps of her bra off. She held back a whimper, feeling the fabric slide over her skin, shortly followed by his fingers. He was going slow, teasing her. She found that she liked it when he did that.

“Joe?” Someone asked, entering the bathroom, the two of them pulled apart, Macy clutching her bra to her body and praying silently that no one saw her clothing scattered all over the floor.

“In the shower here, Kev,” Joe said, “Invasion of privacy much?” Macy’s stomach churned, her heart racing.

Please don’t let Kevin see my clothes, please don’t let Kevin see my clothes, she thought, trying to stay as quiet as she could with Kevin still standing in the room.

For a few very long moments, Kevin remained in the bathroom with them. He didn’t come any farther into the room, instead, he lingered close to the doorway.

“Oh,” he said after awhile and that was basically all he said, turning around and leaving the room. He shut the door behind him and Macy let loose a sigh of relief. Joe looked at her and he sighed too, pressing his forehead against hers.

“Oh god,” she said, her heart still racing, “oh god.” Joe wrapped his arms around her and pulled her against him, burying his face in her neck.

“Calm down, Macy,” he whispered, “at least we didn’t get caught.” Macy swallowed hard.

“Yeah,” she said, “but how the hell am I supposed to get out of here?” Joe pulled away, looking down at her thoughtfully.

“I think I might have an idea.”

END & BEGIN AGAIN

“Joe,” Macy said, her voice dangerous, “there is no way I’m going through that window with a harness on and in soaking wet clothes.” Joe chuckled, watching as she shivered in her wet clothes, rubbing her hands over her arms in a vain attempt to get warm.

“You could always go down naked.” Macy blushed and slapped his arm.

“I’m not doing that either!” Joe rolled his eyes and walked over to the counter, picking up the clothes he had set out for himself and walking back to her.

“Wear these,” he responded, pushing an old t-shirt and a pair of athletic shorts into her chest. She stared at him questioningly.

“You’re going to leave the bathroom in swim trunks?” She asked and Joe laughed at her.

“Macy,” he said, a smile curling across his lips, “I live upstairs with my brothers. I can leave the shower with a towel wrapped around my waist. Sure, they’re probably gonna make some “put some clothes on” cracks, but I’ll be fine. You, on the other hand, have to go out that window. And soon.” Macy sighed.

“Why do you have a harness in the bathroom anyway?” She asked, looking back over at it.

“For the same reason we live in a firehouse,” Joe responded.

“Well, why’s that?”

“Not sure,” he responded, “now, take those wet clothes off and get out the window. Stop stalling.” Macy scoffed.

“I though you wanted me here, Joe,” Macy said, trying her hand at being seductive as she made her way towards him, using her fingers to climb his chest up toward his shoulder. He smirked and grabbed her hand.

“I do,” he whispered, using the hand that he had placed over hers to trace over her arm, over her shoulder and neck so that he could caress her face, “but Stella is going to be here soon…” he trailed off and Macy growled somewhere deep in her throat.

Stella, she thought, teeth grinding. The girl was her best friend, but lately she seemed to be ruining everything. Macy swallowed, chewing her lip. Where’d that thought come from? She was the one ruining everything. Stella wasn’t cheating on Joe with Macy’s boyfriend.

“Whatever,” Macy said, stripping her wet clothing off quickly and throwing Joe’s pajamas over her head. Joe watched her, but she was going too fast for him to enjoy it.

“You look good in my clothes,” he said. Macy frowned and rolled her eyes.

“Strap me in,” She commanded as she went and stood by the harness he would lower her from the window with.

“Yes, ma’am,” Joe responded, a smirk on his lips. Macy ignored how cute that smirk was, she was still a little miffed about being cut short because of Stella. Again, she wondered why she was so upset. Stella wasn’t doing anything wrong.

END & BEGIN AGAIN

Macy’s feet hit the pavement with a soft, thud. Joe stuck his head out the window and looked down at her. She gave him a thumbs up, unhooking herself from the harness and making her way out of the alley.

“Macy?” She heard someone ask just as she had made it out. She turned quickly, going into a tae kwon doe stance. She hoped it wasn’t some crazy rapist or ax murderer.

“Uh…Stella…” She said. This was muchworse than either of her previous assumptions.

“What are you doing here?” Stella asked, walking closer to her friend. Crap. Crap. Shit. Oh god.Macy thought, smiling nervously and trying to back up into the alley without looking too suspicious.

“I was…uh…” Macy said, “I was just taking a—”Stella cut her off, “Are those Joe’s clothes?” She asked. Macy blanched.

“No,” she said, laughing nervously, “why would I be wearing Joe’s clothing…honestly, Stella.” Another nervous laugh.

“Those are his clothes…” Stella said, eyeing her best friend suspiciously.

“It’s not what you think…” She said defensively, “I…I…” she trailed off.

“I knew you were still obsessed with JONAS,” Stella said.

“What?” Macy asked before realizing that this was an easy out, “oh crap. You caught me, Stella.” Stella crossed her arms.

“Stealing clothes, Macy?” Stella asked, “really?” Macy squeaked and nodded.

“Yeah,” she said, “I couldn’t help myself…” she trailed off, giving Stella an “I feel so bad and so apologetic” look. Stella sighed and reached out, grabbing her best friend’s arm.

“Does Joe know that you took—wait…why are you wet?” Macy’s eyes went wide. She opened her mouth to reply, only to close it again.

“Uh…well…you just missed it, Stell,” she began, “freak rain. You know how it is around here sometimes…” Stella stared at her for a long time, eyes narrowing.

“Whatever,” she said, “you’re coming with me to return those clothes. Your obsession is so weird. I really thought you got over that when you started dating Kevin…honestly, Macy…” Stella continued to scold her, but Macy wasn’t worried about it anymore. She sighed.

Just when she had finally gotten out, Stella had to pull her back in.

Uuuuh. I think everyone is a little OOC, but I guess that’s the point of this whole story. I tried to write it as OC as I could. Read and Review! I love getting feedback!

Unfaithful
Chapter One
What he Forgot

BEGIN &&

He didn’t know when he decided that Stella wasn’t enough for him. Sure, she was beautiful, amazing, talented, and a great kisser, but now he found himself in a strange position. Well, the position wasn’t exactly strange, not anymore anyhow. Now the position was familiar.

She was pressed between him and a row of lockers, her shirt abandoned somewhere near them. He had ambushed her while she had been changing, capturing her lips with his and shoving her against the cold metal lockers. She had protested at first. He smirked against her lips at the memory.

“Joseph Lucas!” She had yelled, shrilly and he had shushed her, pressing his lips against hers again. “No!” She yelled at him, a giggling rising in her throat as she shoved him away, “I’m shirtless and these lockers are freezing!” He just smirked at her.

“I’ll help you get warm,” he had said, pressing his body against hers and kissing her again. She didn’t complain once after that.

“Jooooe,” she said, pulling away from him and watching as his smirk faded.

“Not warm enough?” He asked, pouting a little. She giggled and shook her head.

“I’ve got to get dressed sometime, Joseph,” she said. He pouted again, staring down at her lacy pink and black bra.

“I like you better this way,” he said, leaning down to plant a kiss against her throat. She smacked him.

“Only you,” she said, smiling at him as he snaked his arms around her waist and pulled her flush against him. He leaned down, running his tongue along her bottom lip.

“That’s new,” she whispered, a little dazed by his action. Joe smirked at her, tracing his fingertips along her bate back and up to the clasp of her bra. He fingered the clasps, staring directly into her eyes. She frowned, shoving him away.

“Perv,” she responded, holding back a smirk as she made her way over to where her shirt was, “aren’t you getting any from your girlfriend?” She asked. Joe narrowed his eyes at her, watching was she leaned over to pick up her shirt, sliding in on and buttoning it up hastily.

“What about you?” He asked, “is your boyfriend satisfying your needs.” She looked up at him, a smile playing across her lips.

“If he was able to satisfy me, I wouldn’t need you now, would I?” He stared at her for a long moment, eyes questioning.

“How far have you two gone, anyhow?” He asked, watching her pick up the rest of her things and run a brush through her mussed hair.

“Why?” She asked, “are you jealous?” Joe stared at her carefully, watching as she pulled her hair back into a high pony tail and tossed the rest of her belongings haphazardly into her gym bag.

“Do you want me to be?” He asked, deciding that question was the best course of action to take. He didn’t want her to know that he really was jealous that another man was touching her the way he touched her. Well, he didn’t really knowthat for sure, he wasn’t even sure that her boyfriend has it in him to be that intimate.

She stared at him, eyes narrowing and lips parting slightly. She opened her mouth to say something, but before she could get the words out, the locker room door opened.

“Macy?” A familiar voice asked. Joe and the girl exchanged looks, both of them wide-eyed.

hide,” she mouthed to him, picking up her gym bag and heading towards the front of the locker room.

“Stella,” she said, giving her friend a nervous smile, “what are you doing here?” Stella shot her best friend a questioning look, both eyebrows raised.

“I was looking for you,” she responded, “you always take so long in the locker room.” She laughed nervously.

“You know I like to reflect after practice,” she responded, “it’s how I unwind.”

“Well I wish you’d reflect faster,” Stella responded, “that way I’d be able to have more time with my best friend. I feel like I hardly see you lately. You’re either reflecting or out with Kevin or busy with school and games…” she trailed off.

“Or you’re out with Joe,” Macy added, staring down at the floor and resisting the urge to chew on her lip nervously.

“Yeah,” Stella said with a dreamy smile, “Joe.” Macy felt like she was going to be sick. Stella was her best friend, but she would never be enough for Joe. She didn’t think any one girl would be enough for Joe Lucas.

“Yeah,” Macy responded, “Joe’s great. Can we leave now?” Stella looked down at her best friend and frowned.

“What do you have against Joe?”

“Nothing,” she said, adding bitterly in her thoughts, but he’s got me against days, anyway. “Why?”

“It’s just,” Stella said, “every time I bring him up you seem to not want to talk about him.”

“Oh,” She said, “I didn’t realize I did that.” Maybe it’s because I get more than enough of your boyfriend on a daily basis, she thought, rolling her eyes at the ground as she headed past Stella and towards the entrance of the locker room.

“Well, you do,” Stella said, pulling out her phone to answer a text message, “a lot.” Macy rolled her eyes again, bitterly thinking, I wonder why? As she made her way towards one of the exits of the school.

“I’m sorry, Stella,” Macy said, giving her friend an apologetic smile as she pushed open the door that lead outside to the parking lot.

“I mean,” Stella continued, “I used to listen to you gush about Kevin, all the time. The least you can do is listen to me gush about Joe.” Macy swallowed, thinking about her current boyfriend. The though of him always made her stomach feel like it was in knots. It used to be the same way whenever she hung out with Stella, but that had gotten better now.

“I’m sorry, Stella,” Macy said again, “I’ll listen more, I promise.”

“That’s what you said last time, Macy,” Stella said, “And the time before that. And the time before that…and—” Macy cut her best friend off, “I get it, Stells,” she said, “but I mean it this time, I promise.

Stella sighed, glaring at her best friend and rolling her eyes.

“Whatever you say, Mace,” She said, not really believing her. She knew she’d probably blow her off the next time she so much as mentioned her boyfriend. Like, now…

“Wait…” Stella said, “Is that Joe?” She pointed towards the door the two girls had just previously come out of. Macy whirled around, her stomach in knots, her heart racing. What was he? Stupid? “I thought he told me he was going home early….”

Oh God,Macy thought, watching as he walked nonchalantly towards his car, whistling and jingling his keys.

“Joseph!” Stella called out to him, stepping around her car and glaring at her boyfriend with her hands on her hips. Joe turned and looked at the two of them, his face going white. Macy gave him a “what the hell, Joe?” look before staring at him wide-eyed. “What are you still doing here?” She asked, “I thought you had to leave early.”

“I-uh-forgot something,” he responded, mentally kicking himself for the suspicious “uh” he had allowed to escape between I and forgot.

“Really?” Stella asked, “What’d you forget?” Macy swallowed hard as his eyes shifted from Stella to gaze at her. She shook her head frantically, backing up a little and nodding towards Stella. Was he retarded? Stella could totally see that!

“It’s a surprise, Stells,” Joe said, gaze focusing on her once more. Macy hoped she hadn’t seen that. She really hoped she hadn’t.

“What kind of surprise?” Stella asked, still a little skeptical. Joe swallowed, willing himself not to look at Macy again. He already had two strikes. He didn’t need another one.

“A surprise to show you what an amazing girlfriend you are,” Joe said, grinning at her and winking. Stella couldn’t help but smile at that.

“What is it?” She asked, a smile still present on her lips.

“If I told you, it wouldn’t be a surprise, would it?” Stella’s smile faded.

“When am I getting my surprise?” Stella asked, eyes narrowing at him.

“Soon,” he responded, “very soon.” Joe flashed her another smile and walked the final few steps to his car, unlocking it and opening the door.

“You know I’m not patient, Joe,” Stella said, frowning.

“I know,” he responded, sliding into the driver’s seat and shutting the door. Stella sighed, aggravated by his action and turning to Macy.

“Why the hell did he look at you when I asked him what he had forgotten?” Macy didn’t know what to say to that. Her stomach was in knots and she felt like she might vomit right then and there.

“I don’t know,” she said, surprising herself when she didn’t even miss a beat, “Joe’s always been weird.”

It’s not done yet. I’m pretty sure it’s gonna be a three shot. Do you guys like it? It’s kind of weird. I promise a JLK update. TONIGHT. Read and Review!

Sweat Pants and Swim Suits: A JONAS fanfiction

Suggested forcefully by Cayce (MyJonasSensesAreTingling3) I hope I execute this right. Please note, the title really has nothing to do with the story.

Sweat Pants and Swim Suits

. . . . . . . . . .

Macy Misa was not a pervert. Or that’s what she was telling herself these days. But she couldn’t deny the, er, tingling feeling she got when she watched him walk down the hallway in those pants. Why the hell did those boys where pants that tight anyways? Didn’t they hurt? She blushed crimson at that thought and turned around to hide her face in her locker.

Don’t think about it, Macy, she chanted to herself, closing her eyes tight and gripping her cricket bat.

“Macy?” She heard a familiar voice ask. She jumped, pulling her head out of her locker and swinging her cricket bat frantically. “Whoa!” The voice said, dodging it, just barely.

“Hi, Nick,” Macy said a bit breathlessly, smiling and reminding herself not to look at the pants he was w-shit, too late. They were just as tight as ever if not tighter. She felt her heart race uncomfortably in her chest. She chewed on her lip, staring at the way his khakis bunched up around-

“Macy?” Nick asked and she tore her eyes from his pants and looked directly at his face.

“Huh?” She asked, smiling awkwardly at him.

“I asked if you did your Bio homework last night…” he trailed off, wondering if Macy had been staring at where he thought she was staring.

“Oh,” Macy said, “Oh..uuh…” She turned back to her locker, dropping her cricket bat on the floor with a loud cracking noise. Nick swallowed, staring down at the stick. It had just missed his foot by mere millimeters. He laughed nervously, watching as Macy tore through her locker to find her Biology notebook.

“Crap,” Macy said, moving away from her locker and bending over to look in her book bag. Nick’s eyes followed her, his gaze resting on her thighs and trailing upwards to the hem of her skirt.

“Uh, Macy,” He said nervously, noticing that he wasn’t the only guy who had noticed how nice her legs looked and how short her skirt was. A few other guys were staring intently, slowing down in the hallway as to savor the moment. Macy didn’t hear him, muttering something to herself and continuing to dig in her book bag.

“I know I did that worksheet,” she said, moving around a little more frantically. Nick watched as the fabric of her skirt…he swallowed.

“Macy!” He yelled, his voice coming out a little high pitched and strangled. Macy straightened up and looked at him, hands smoothing out her skirt. Nick willed himself not to watch her fixing her skirt, even when he noticed the same guys from earlier doing the same thing.

“What?” Macy asked, blinking in confusion. She was so oblivious sometimes it was unreal.

“I…uuh,” he said, “I just remembered that I don’t need to homework…” he trailed off, laughing nervously. His mind wandered back to the image of Macy bent over her book bag and he found himself wishing he favored looser pants. If he had just done his homework last night he wouldn’t be having this problem. Stupid Joe and his stupid, stupid really fun ideas. Come on Nick, forget about your homework, Nick, let’s go to that new amusement park, Nick. He could strangle his brother right now for that suggestion. What kind of a teenager goes to an amusement park on a school night? Oh right, Joe Lucas did. How could he forget.

“Why not?” Macy asked, looking a little confused. Nick muttered something under his breath darkly about killing his older brother, but secretly he was glad for the distraction. Anything to get his mind off of Macy and her short skirts and nice legs and…he coughed, swallowing hard and biting his tongue.

“Are you okay, Nick?” Macy asked, watching as he readjusted his canvas bag, holding it against his abdomen.

“I’m fine,” Nick said, coughing a little bit, “I just really like this bag.” Macy raised her eyebrows at him, looking more than a little freaked out.

“It’s a nice bag,” Nick said, his voice sounding strained, “It’s so…plaid and…”

“Uh…huh…” Macy said. She had never seen Nick act this way. Wasn’t this more Joe’s department? Pulling crazy stunts that freaked her out a little? Heck, wasn’t she the one who usually did stupid stuff around the Lucas brothers? It was never the other way around.

“Well,” Nick said, “I’ll see you in bio!” And with that he was off, turning around and heading the opposite direction. Macy sighed, her gaze settling on the way his pants clung to his cute-

“Wait! Nick!” Macy called after him, he turned and looked at her over his shoulder.

“Yeah?” He asked.

“You’re going the wrong way,” she said, smiling sheepishly at him. Nick laughed.

“Right,” he said, “I knew that. Thanks.” He turned back around and walked by her as quickly as possible, en route to his next class. Though, he was pretty sure that the way things were going now, he’d end up skipping his class and spending the whole period in the bathroom. Or maybe he’d make a quick stop by his gym locker for a pair of sweatpants. Ah, sweatpants. Those things were so roomy.

END & BEGIN AGAIN

“Macy said that your brother is acting really strange,” Stella said to Joe, taking a seat at their usual lunch table. Joe was flipping through a magazine.

“Kevin’s always strange,” Joe said, nonchalantly, licking his finger and turning the page in his magazine.

“No, Joe,” Stella said, “Not Kevin, Nick.” Joe glanced up for a brief moment before looking back down at his magazine.

“Nick’s pretty weird too,” Joe responded. Stella rolled her eyes.

“Let me guess,” she said, “And you’re the only normal Lucas brother?”

“Pretty much,” he said, turning the page again. Stella growled.

“Could you be serious for one second, Joseph?” Stella asked, reaching over and yanking the magazine out of his hands. Joe sighed, crossing his arms and glaring at her.

“Fiiine,” he said, sitting back in his chair, “Tell me how strange my younger brother is being.”

“Macy said he hugged his book bag, told her he really liked it and ran off in the wrong direction,” Stella informed him. Joe erupted into a fit of laughter. Stella was not amused.

“Oh, oh,” Joe said between laughs, “he hugged his book bag? The mental image…” He erupted into laughter again. Stella crossed her arms and glared at him.

“Are you done?” She asked as his laughter died down. Joe held up his hand, erupting into a fit of laughter again.

“Okay,” he said, just as Kevin and Nick approached their table, “now, I’m done.”

“What’s so funny?” Kevin asked, sitting down on the other side of Stella.

“Well,” Joe started, motioning to Nick, “Nick here decided to make a fool of himself in front of our fa-“

“Why are you wearing sweat pants?” Stella asked, interrupting Joe and giving Nick a questioning look.

“I uh,” he said, blushing, “I like these sweat pants…” He took a seat and stared down at his tray of food.

“You’re ruining your whole outfit Nicholas,” Stella said, standing up from the table and grabbing his arm, “come on.”

“Ohhh,” Joe said, smirking after them, “Nick’s gonna get it now!”

“Wait, wait!” Nick said, trying to wriggle free from Stella’s grip on his arm, “where are you taking me?”

“To the bathroom so you can change out of those ridiculous pants,” Stella said, obviously annoyed with Nick’s fashion choices, “Isn’t it against school rules to wear casual clothing outside of gym, anyhow?” Stella shot Nick a look and he shrugged his shoulders.

“You never worried about rules before, Stella,” Nick said, finally pulling free from her grip.

“That’s because before now, none of you committed a heinous crime against fashion.”

“I’m wearing sweat pants, Stell,” Nick said, “I’m not wearing lime green skinny jeans with gold shoes and-” Stella cut him off, holding up a hand.

“I get it, Nicholas,” she said, “but that doesn’t make this any less aggravating. What happened to the outfit that I approved?”

“Uh,” Nick said, just as Macy brushed past the two of them. He swallowed hard. He turned his head and watched her walk past, her hips swaying. He felt his mouth go dry and his sweat pants get a little less roomy. Not again.

“Earth to Nick Lucas,” Stella said, snapping at him. He turned back towards her, wincing a little bit when he noticed her fingers were directly in his face.

“Uh, I have them,” he said, “they’re in my gym locker…”

“Perfect,” Stella said, grabbing his arm and heading in the direction of the gym, “you can change back in there.”

“Wait…Stella…” He pulled free from her again, “I can’t change back.”

“Why not?” Stella asked and Nick blushed. She couldn’t possibly be asking him that question. He didn’t even know how to respond to that. How could he tell one of his best female friends why he couldn’t change into the outfit she approved for him?

“B…b…because,” he said, whimpering softly before continuing, “I…uh…” Stella stared at him expectantly, tapping her foot. Nick sighed. “I just can’t, okay?” He asked, pushing past her in favor of somewhere he could be alone.

“Nicholas Lucas,” Stella said, fists clenched, “that is not a reason.” Nick didn’t stop, though. He didn’t see why it was such a big deal. Sure, he was wearing sweat pants, but sometimes you just have to wear sweat pants.

“Sometimes you just have to wear sweat pants, Stella,” Nick called back to her, still walking in the opposite direction. He heard Stella growl and stomp her foot in frustration.

“Joe!” She shouted to his older brother, “Nick is being unreasonable!”

END & BEGIN AGAIN

Nick sat in the art room, holding one of his favorite guitars on his lap and strumming it, trying to forget about all the events of that day. The way Macy made him feel, the way Stella had flipped when she saw him wearing sweats, the way he hugged his book bag. This was almost as bad as that whole song writing fiasco a few weeks ago.

“Nick?” Macy asked, knocking on the open door. Scratch that, it just got worse than that song writing fiasco a few weeks ago. Nick looked up from his guitar and blushed, immediately looking back down.

“Macy,” he said, a bit breathless. She was wearing her red swimsuit. She had probably just finished getting ready for swim practice. He tried not to think of how tight the fabric was or how amazing her legs looked. He was just thankful she was wearing shorts over her swim suit. Would it have killed her to put a shirt on as well? Don’t they usually wear stuff like that before they swim? Trying not to think about how hot she looked, didn’t seem to be working that well…

“Stella told me about what happened at lunch,” she said. Nick blushed more. Stupid girls and their stupid gossip.

“Yeah,” he said, “she freaked on me about the whole sweat pants deal,” he tugged on the fabric of his pants and laughed nervously.

“That’s not the way she told it,” Macy said, walking into the room, “She said you were being unreasonable.” Nick chuckled, staring at the neck of his guitar.

“I guess I was,” he said, the events that happened at lunch time, replaying in his head.

“Those pants look nice on you,” Macy said. It was true that she preferred his tighter pants, but she didn’t mind the sweats all that much. Nick looked up and flashed her a nervous smile.

“That swimsuit,” he began, motioning to her outfit, “looks nice on you.” Macy blushed and stared down at her feet.

“Thanks,” she said bashfully before looking back up, “What’re you playing?” She motioned to his guitar and Nick smiled softly.

“Nothing, really,” he said, “Just some old songs.”

“What old songs?” She asked, moving closer to him and taking a seat on the stool positioned beside him. He tried not to stare at her legs, especially when she rested her hands against the stool between them.

“Well,” Nick said, “it’s really only, one old song.”

“What one,” she asked, leaning closer to him. Nick swallowed.

“It’s called Mac-uh-Mandy,” he said, mentally kicking himself for almost messing up the name of one of the oldest songs he and his brothers performed together.

“Sing it for me?” Macy asked, smiling at him.

“Promise you wont pass out?” Nick asked, a smirk playing on his lips. He didn’t know where it came from, it just happened. She slapped his arm playfully.

“Nicholas Lucas,” she said in a disapproving tone, “in case you haven’t noticed, I’ve gotten a lot better about my-“she used air quotes here-“obsession with your band.”

“Is that why you almost smacked me in the face with a cricket bat earlier?” He asked, smirking at her again. Macy gasped, putting her hand over her heart.

“You snuck up on me,” she responded.

“Well excuse me for needing the Biology homework,” he responded, sticking his tongue out at her. She giggled and smacked his cheek playfully, letting her hand linger against his skin for a second longer than she should’ve. Nick stared at her, feeling the mood in the room shift from playful to something more serious. He felt her begin to pull her hand away from his cheek, and he reached up quickly to stop her. Pinning her hand against his face by pressing his hand over hers.

“Nick?” Macy asked, heart racing. Nick didn’t say anything, he moved his guitar from his lap and slid off of his stool. Macy swallowed, watching as he set his guitar against the floor and leaned it against the stool he had been sitting on previously. He moved so he was practically between her legs and she said his name again, but this time it came out in the form of a gasp instead of a question. He tried to concentrate on keeping his breathing even. It was hard to maintain when he saw her lips part and felt her hand move from against the stool and up his chest before she let it rest against his shoulder.

He watched as she let her eyes slip closed, tilting her head a little to the side, waiting for him to make his move. He pressed himself closer to her, feeling the warmth of her against his stomach. He sighed, dropping his hand from hers and wrapping both arms around her waist, pulling her closer to him. She gasped, eyes fluttering open, just in time to catch him pressing his lips against her’s roughly.

Her head was swimming and she wrapped her arms around his neck to keep herself from falling. She never even knew Nick felt this way about her…she had always hoped…but…She felt Nick’s hand move from her waist, trailing against her side and then down over her leg to her knee. She felt him shiver, and butterflies erupted in her chest. Her cheeks flushed when he trailed his hand back up again, fingering the hem of her shorts. She pulled away from him, gasping for air and tilting her head back. Nick pressed his lips to her neck, setting her back down on the stool and sliding his hand into her shorts, feeling the bottom of the fabric to her swim suit.

She gasped his name and he kept reminding himself not to go too far. Even though he was pretty sure he’d gone too far already. He sucked in her neck gently, listening to her whimper shrilly. He traced circles with his index finger against her leg and she gasped, biting her tongue.

“N-Nick,” she whispered, shoving him away slightly. He looked at her, confused. She bit her lip. “I think we should stop,” she said, taking a deep shuddering breath before continuing, “you know…before it goes too far?” Nick swallowed and nodded a little. He was a little hurt, but he was amazed by her self-control. If she hadn’t stopped him right then…well…

“Don’t you have to go to swim practice?” Nick asked, still breathing hard.

“Not today,” Macy said, sliding off the stool and giving Nick a mischievous smirk. He raised both eyebrows in confusion.

“Then why…?” He asked, motioning to her swim suit. She shrugged.

“It’s comfortable,” she responded, “just like your sweat pants.”

END &&

So yeah. The ending kind of sucks. I feel really weird about the whole swim suit/sweat pants deal…Some of the ideas are very similar to thiscoffeeshop’s story, so go read her stuff. She was nice enough to let me be awesome and use some of her ideas :). Sort of… I just felt like I should mention her. Sorry that they’re both OOC, but this is the first time I’ve ever really written anything like this. Love you guys! Please R&R!

V-Neck: A JONAS drabble fic

I swear. I am so super-lame for writing this. I just couldn’t not write it. I need to stop watching JONAS. I’m gonna just go ahead and blame thiscoffeeshop (even though it was totally inspired by Irrevocablyamanduh-ily!) for this one too. You hear me, girl? I blame you.

V-Neck

Drabble.

. . . . . . . . .

Stella Malone couldn’t take her eyes off of his neck. The way the v-neck dipped to show his collar bone and a little bit of his chest was intoxicating.

“Stella?” Joe asked, noticing that she had zoned out and was staring directly at-he looked down-his…chest? His face distorted in confusion. Was this what girls felt like then he stared at their chests? Awkward? Annoyed? A little turned on?

Stella was still staring, tracing the dip in his shirt with her eyes.

“Stella!” Joe said, waving his hand in front of her face, “Earth to Stella Malone.” Stella snapped out of it and, reluctantly, pulled her eyes from his throat to look at his face.

“Yeah?” She asked.

“You were zoning out,” he said, adding in his head, and staring at me me like you wanted to jump me. Not that I’d mind… Joe smirked at that thought.

“Was I?” Stella asked, laughing nervously, trying to look anywhere but the place where his v-neck dipped down. Joe noticed this.

“Yes,” he responded, scooting closer to her and leaning over in a provocative manner before asking, “Do you like what you see?” Stella’s face flushed as her eyes went to his chest again. She wasn’t sure how to answer his question. Did she tell him the truth? Or did she deny it. She didn’t think she had the strength to deny it anymore.

“I…I…” She stuttered, blushing, “I certainly hope that question was rhetorical, Joseph.” She mentally kicked herself. Honestly, was that the best she could come up with?

“Honestly, Estella,” Joe said, “Is that the best you can come up with?” Stella watched his lips as he spoke, shocked at his question.

“What’re you talking about, Joe?” Stella asked, willing all the things she was feeling to go away. Joe moved closer to her. He was on his knees know, hands on either side of her lap, palms against the floor. His face was dangerously close to hers, his brown eyes flickering with amusement as her face flushed and her breathing hitched. He tilted his head slightly.

“This,” he said in a whisper, capturing her lips with his. Every sarcastic remark she could think of melted away in that kiss. He pressed himself into her farther, not stopping until she was flat on the floor beneath him, her fingers tracing against his collar bone gently. He kissed her roughly, pressing his tongue against her lips, pleading for entrance. She felt like the was going to stop breathing as she parted her lips.

Stella traced the v in Joe’s collar, sending sparks of electricity through his body.

“I love this shirt on you,” she said, a bit breathless, once he had pulled away. He smirked down at her.

“Isn’t that why you designed it?” He asked. Stella smirked back.

“You’ll never know.” Joe snorted and kissed her again.

. . . . . . . . .

I am so lame. And the “Do you like what you see?” line is totally and completely, shamelessly inspired by Suburbs. I had to incorporate it into a fanfic at some point. I wanted to see if I could push it to the point where Stella took Joe’s shirt off, but…I don’t see them ever going that far.

I’ll Stay: A JONAS oneshot

Disclaimer: The dialogue at the very beginning is from/based from JONAS episode 7, Fashion Victim. I do not own JONAS.

I’ve seen this episode 16 times by now and every time I see it I get more inspiration.

I’ll Stay

[Oneshot]

. . . . . . . . .

“Are these pants okay to get something to eat in?” Nick asked, “because I’m starving.”

“You wanna come with?” Joe asked Stella, who was standing across from him, holding a pair of Kevin’s pants.

“I’d love to,” Stella said, “but I can’t-“she held out Kevin’s pants, unfolding them in front of the brothers-“I have to replace the knees in all of Kevin’s pants.” She glared at the oldest Lucas brother who smiled back at her nervously. “Why do you insist on power-sliding across the stage every night?” Stella asked, crossing her arms with a huff.

“Because I’m awesome,” Kevin responded as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. His brothers stared at him for a long moment and Stella still glared.

“He is awesome,” Nick responded, earning a slight nod and an amused smile from Joe as he agreed. Stella rolled her eyes.

“Anyways,” she began, “it’ll take me all night by myself…” she trailed off, giving the boys a look that said “please, please stay here with me”. The three brothers exchanged glances and stared at Stella for a long moment, seemingly considering her silent request.

“Well, bye,” Nick said, starting a chain reaction of salutations. Stella watched with a less-than-impressed expression on her face as her best friend and his two brothers made their way to the firemen poles in the center of the room.

“See ya, Stells,” Joe said as he grabbed the pole and slid down.

“Bye Stella,” Nick said, following his older brother’s lead. Kevin, however, lingered around for a second.

“Aren’t you going to go too?” Stella asked him, when she noticed he hadn’t tried to follow after his brothers just yet. Kevin didn’t respond for a long second. Wondering if he was really hungry enough to leave Stella in her time of need.

“I’ll stay, Stella,” he said, stepping away from the pole and walking back towards her.

“What?” Stella asked, wondering if she had heard him right.

“I’ll stay,” he responded. Stella blinked, a little confused.

“Nah, Kev,” she said, “I’ve got this, you go on ahead and eat with your brother-” he cut her off. “I want to stay here with you.”

“Are you sure, Kev?” She asked, she hadn’t expected any of them to actually stay. She had known these boys forever. Her “damsel in distress” look didn’t work on them.

“I’m sure,” he responded, “after all, you are fixing my pants.” Stella smiled.

“Thanks Kev,” she said.

“What do you want me to do?” He asked.

“Go down to the bus and get me the rest of your pants,” Stella answered, watching as walked towards the pole and slid down, smiling at her the whole way. With Kevin helping her, this all-nighter might not be so bad.

He returned about a half an hour later, just after Stella had finished setting up her sewing supplies and had chosen the patching she would use for the first pair. Stella turned around and looked at him, watching with interest as he pulled a huge amount of pants behind him in a laundry bag. She swallowed, feeling butterflies erupt in her stomach when she saw sweat beading on his forehead.

“I’m…” Kevin began, pulling the bag the rest of the way up the stairs, “back.”

“Is the bag heavy, Kev?” She asked, trying to sound sarcastic. Instead her voice came out in a nervous tone that could’ve been passed off as concern. She hoped Kevin wouldn’t notice how nervous he made her looking all hot and sweaty like that.

“Yeah,” he responded, a bit breathless, “Who knew ten weeks worth of pants would be so heavy?” He wiped his forehead on his sleeve and Stella felt her heartbeat race. What was it with her and sweaty guys anyhow? She bet every other girl on the planet thought they were gross. What made her so different?

Kevin took a few deep breaths and picked up the strings of the heavy bag of laundry again, pulling it towards her. Her breath caught as she watched the muscles in his back tense and relax, tense and relax. She felt her mouth water, as strange as that sounded. Her mouth was watering at the thought of Kevin Lucas’ back muscles. She hoped it was because she just really missed him when he was on tour. Even though she already knew that wasn’t the case. It never was when it came to mouth watering though.

“There ya go, Stella,” Kevin said, sweat beaded on his forehead and neck…and…Stella coughed, reminding herself that he was her best friend’s oldest brother. The best friend that she was totally secretly crushing on. Which made her sexual-esque thoughts about him even worse.

“Thanks, Kev,” she said, trying very hard not to stutter. He wiped his forehead on his sleeve again, and she swore her heart stopped for a second. Maybe this was why Macy was on so many sport teams. To watch all those guys practice. To see their muscles tense, and…Stella swooned inwardly.

“What do you want me to do now?” Kevin asked, still as enthusiastic as ever. Ah, Kevin.

“You look tired, Kev,” Stella said, reminding herself to keep her breathing even when she noticed the beads of sweat on his upper lip, “just sit down…” she trailed off, caught between wanting him to stay there and keep her company while she worked and wanting him to leave so she could actually concentrate on what she was doing. And not on that little drop of sweat slowly creeping it’s way down his temple, over his cheek and to his chin. He wiped it away on the back of his hand and she sighed.

“Sit down and keep me company?” She said, coming out as more of a question than anything else.

“Okay,” he responded, taking a seat on the floor next to her. A little too close next to her. She swallowed, turning back to her work, laying things out and smoothing her hands over them. She was stalling, still thinking about what it would be like to feel Kevin’s back muscles tense beneath her fingers. She took a sharp breath, staring at the jeans she held in her hand.

“Wow, Kev,” she said, painfully aware that she was tagging his name to the end of everything she said. She wondered if he noticed. Maybe he just thought she enjoyed saying his na-wait, that was the real reason. Maybe he thought something else then.

“What?” Kevin asked, watching in mild interest as Stella stuck her hands into a pair of his jeans, wigging her finger through the hole he has torn in the knee from power-sliding.

“I don’t know,” she said, not really sure why she even said “wow, Kev” in the first place. She felt really stupid right now. Kevin didn’t say anything, instead he reached out to touch the hole in his jeans. Stella swallowed, painfully aware that his hand was now touching hers. She didn’t know if he meant to do that…or…

She watched his hand, slowly smoothing over the tear in the jeans, all the while his skin touching hers. It was like a whisper, she could barely feel it, but she knew it was still there. She was getting goosebumps. She watched as he pulled the jeans from her hand and placed his palm against hers. Her heart was pounding so loudly she could feel it in her throat. She was pretty sure her own beads of sweat were forming now.

He laced his fingers with hers and she finally looked up at him, eyes locking. His lips curled into a smile. The kind of smile that only Kevin Lucas new how to give. Completely aloof, yet still…he knew what he was doing.

“This-” Stella said, watching as his eyes flickered from her own eyes to her lips, “this doesn’t change anything, Kev,” she whispered, wanting him to know that if he kissed her nothing would change between them. They would still have the same relationship they had now, he would be her best friend’s brother and she would be his stylist.

“I want to,” he responded, letting her know that he understood. Then he did it, he leaned across the mess of sewing supplies and patching materials and he kissed her. It wasn’t the weak kneed kind of kiss she knew she’d experience with Joe. It wasn’t the spark-less kiss she had felt with Van Dyke. This kiss, was a mixture of both, somewhere in the middle.

Her heart fluttered as he pushed farther into the kiss, practically climbing on top of her. It was like he knew what she wanted. She held onto his back to remain in her slanted position, she felt his muscles tense and she almost moaned. She wondered if this was what it would be like to feel Joe against her.

Kevin had her completely against the floor now, somehow able to press his body against hers completely without crushing her beneath him. A second later, just as Stella thought she was going to explode, he pulled away from her slowly, panting. She watched him, her eyes locking with his, pleading silently for him to continue, to stay there on top of her.

It was breathtaking to feel the warmth of his body against hers. Even if he wasn’t Joe, she was sure he was a close second. He was the closest she was able to get right now. Kevin smiled sadly, surrendering to her silent request. He leaned in again, planting soft kisses against her jaw and trailing them down her neck. She moaned Joe’s name before she could stop herself and Kevin pulled away from her, eyes locking once more.

“I know,” he told her aloud, accepting her silent apology.

“One last time?” She asked, moving her hands up his back to tangle them in this curly dark hair. He sighed and smiled, leaning down to capture her lips once more.

He wasn’t Joe, but this certainly was good practice.

Uhm. Yeah. So. Stuff happened. I should really be asleep right now, but instead I’m up obsessing over It is Written’s fanfics. Curses. Why are you such a good writer? Chapter Five

BEGIN&&

Two hours before the ball and he didn’t have a date. Not that he had been looking, he wanted to go with Macy but she was preoccupied with kissing his older brother and being generally adorable. She was distracting him. Which, in hindsight, was probably why he didn’t bother looking for a date. He was certain the search would be much better if he didn’t have a certain adorable sporty brunette to worry about. It might’ve been even easier to find a date if she didn’t spend every waking moment as his house, curled up on his couch…nestled snugly against his stupid older brother. Jealousy was a funny thing.

The past few weeks had been awful, terrible, incredibly tough. Not just because Macy was at his house all the time, but because she and Stella thought it would be fun to drag him along on shopping trips to shop for dress fabric or whatever. He wasn’t into it and that’s what he tried telling them, but Stella insisted. And you know how persuasive she can be. Then, when he thought it couldn’t get any worse, he still hadn’t found a date! Again, not that he was looking, but it’d be nice to have a date to the “social event of the year” as Stella referred to it.

“Nick!” Stella called from upstairs where she and Macy were getting ready. Joe and Kevin were getting ready in his parents room to give the girls privacy. Nick shouldbe changing with his brothers, but instead he’s on dress duty. Which is a lot less awesome than it sounds. He had to make sure nothing went wrong when the girls were changing. Which was kind of a cover for “Nick, we don’t want you in the room with us (since it was smaller than theirs), so go wait on Stella and Macy while we change”. His brothers were delightful.

“Yes, Stella?” He asked, trying to sound, well, not annoyed, but it wasn’t working. Stella ignored his annoyance. Out of the goodness of her heart. Supposedly.

“Come up here and zip me up,” she called and Nick sighed.

“Why can’t Macy do it?” Nick asked. Walking towards the stairs, despite his comment.

“She’s still getting ready,” Stella responded. Nick sighed again, wondering why he knew what she was going to say before she said it. He climbed the stairs, almost dragging his feet. He wasn’t looking forward to helping Stella get ready. Especially since she and Macy had carted him all over heck and creation to look at the things they bought and give his opinion. They knew he was going to just say everything looked “good”, didn’t they? Maybe not.

“Okay, Stella,” he said, reaching the top of the stairs, “I’m here to assist you in getting your dress on.” He lazily made his way towards the blonde who stood in the center of the room.

“About time,” Stella said, holding the dress against her body. Nick sighed a third time, he felt like freaking Cinderella and he wasn’t quite sure why. He stopped walking when he stood close enough behind Stella to grab the top of her dress, holding it together with one hand while with the other he zipped it up. Stella sighed with relief, turning to face him.

“How do I look?” She asked, flashing him a totally Stella smile. Nick withheld a gasp, taking in the intricate designs on her dress. It was stunning. Stella looked gorgeous in white, some pink accessories completing the outfit.

“Fantastic,” he responded, in awe of how she looked. He couldn’t wait to see Joe’s fa-

Macy walked out of the bathroom, a red gown fitting snug against her body, showing off every curve. Nick’s jaw dropped, if Stella looked fantastic, Macy looked incredible, gorgeous, fabulous, amazing, any other adjective to describe her beauty. She smiled at him when she noticed he was there and he felt his heart race. She turned around, showing him the back of the dress where he noticed a short train that began between her back and her rear and went all the way to the floor. Not that he was staring, of course.

“Can you tie this, Nick?” She asked and Nick allowed his eyes to travel upwards to her exposed back and he swallowed. Stella knew how to make a damn good dress.

“Of course,” he responded, that’s what he was there for right? He crossed the room and grabbed the ribbon that tied the dress around her neck and tied it in a perfect bow. Then, as he stood back, admiring his work he had an overwhelming urge to reach out and slide his fingers down her back. An urge that he gave into, way before he could stop himself.

Her back was smooth. The skin felt good, right, beneath his fingers. She shivered, turning around and staring at him with confused eyes.

“You had something on your back,” he managed to choke out, thoughts going crazy. She smiled at him.

“Thanks for, uh, getting it,” she responded.

“Anytime,” he said. This moment was getting more awkward than he could handle.

“Alright, Nick,” Stella said, clapping her hands together, “thanks for helping us. You can go get ready now. Bye.” She forced him from the room, pushing him towards one of the three fire poles.

“You’re welco-” he began, but Stella shoved him again and he had to grab into the fire pole to save himself from plummeting to his death. Well, sort of to his death. Stella always got a little controlling when she was getting ready for a social event, so he would try not to being up the fact that she very nearly killed him anytime in the near future.

END AND BEGIN AGAIN

By the time he had finished getting ready, everyone else had already gone. It was no surprise, Stella was hosting the event and, well, that really only excused Stella and Joe. Not that he was upset that Macy and Kevin had already left. That just made going to the ball alone that much easier. Or did it make it harder? His thoughts were a jumbled mess of emotions and memories of Macy. A lot of memories of Macy.

He got into his car, setting his mask in the seat next to him and made his way towards the building where the ball was to be held. This was going to be an interesting night. Nick Lucas arriving stag to the Stella-proclaimed “social event of the year”. Not that they’d know it was him, he would be wearing a mask. Who was he kidding? He was easy to spot. One look at his hair ought to give him away.

He arrived at the building, minutes later, parking his car and making his way towards the entrance. He wasn’t looking forward to this, walking into a ball alone. Not that he wanted to walk into the ball with anyone but Macy on his arm either. Tonight was proving to be rather difficult.

And it didn’t help that he was dressed like a prince without a princess.

Short, I know, but I wanted to at least update something. And to suburbs and farietaleredux, you guys are amazing writers. I can only aspire to be half as amazing as you are. Ohhh. You guys rock!

Hi guys! I’m not dead. How cool is that. I kinda wanted to finish this, even though I have ZERO inspiration at all ever lately. I can’t even write original stuff. Hope this is good enough for you guys.

Chapter Six

Begin&&

When Nick opened the door, walking into the front lobby of the building, the first thing he noticed were the intricate decorations. This was no doubt a Stella event, he could tell from how beautiful and just perfect everything looked. He smirked to himself, despite the intense heartache and loneliness he felt entering this building so full of beauty with no Macy to make this worthwhile.

He stood outside the lobby door for a good minute, talking himself in to walking inside. He really didn’t want to, it was one thing to arrive single with a group of friends, but arriving stag alone? He mentally cursed Stella, Joe and Kevin for making him come, for making sure that JONAS played a show tonight. This was heart wrenching for him. Thinking about how his stupid brother didn’t even notice his infatuation with Macy. How could he?

Nick sighed, pacing the floor. That wasn’t fair, was it? It honestly just wasn’t fair for him to think of Kevin so negatively. His brother obviously didn’t know of his feelings for Macy because Macy didn’t even know of his feelings for Macy. Nick wasn’t even sure he knew for certain until Kevin showed an interest to Macy’s interest. Why did his life have to be so confusing?

From inside Nick’s pant pocket, his cell phone began to ring. His ringtone was old fashioned this week, an antique telephone ring. Or as antique as it could get on a smart phone. He pulled his phone out of his pocket and looked at the caller ID. It was Stella. Of course it was Stella because according to the clock, he was 5 minutes late for JONAS’s performance.

“Hello…Stella I…?” Nick asked, bracing himself for the yelling, the screaming, the clawing, the…

“Nick?” Nick froze when he heard her voice. Macy’s voice.

“Macy…I…Uh…” He stuttered.

“Nick we’re all really worried…why haven’t you arrived yet? You’re never late for a show. We expect that from Joe, but…” Macy’s voice trails off and Nick’s heart throbs in his chest.

“Macy I’m…I…I…wasn’t…” Nick can’t even get a word out, he’s so tongue tied. So instead he slips inside the door to the ballroom, hanging up his phone and putting it back into his pocket. He doesn’t want to sing, he doesn’t want to play an instrument…not tonight. He’s not even sure if he can, not with the way he feels. Not with the things he’s thinking about Macy.

“I think he hung up,” he hears someone say and he turns and sees her standing there in that breathtaking backless red gown. He can’t even breathe as he watches her pass a phone back to Stella.

Oh my God, he thinks, heart racing, palms sweating…Macy….

“Great,” Stella says, stomping her foot. Now where are the other two knuckleheads?” Macy shrugs, looking out into the crowd.

“It doesn’t help that every single guy here looks the same, Stel,” Macy remarks, and Stella huffs.

“Just go find your boyfriend and let me deal with Joe.” Macy blushes when Stella refers to Kevin as her boyfriend because she hadn’t ever really called him that herself. But, that’s what he was, right? Her boyfriend.

“Okay,” she responds and Nick feels a twinge in his heart and a lump in his throat. Her boyfriend.

“Kevin?” Macy calls out questioningly into the crowd, but no one answers her, “KEEEVVVIIIN?” she calls again, way louder this time. His brother would’ve had to have been deaf not to he—

“There you are!” Macy says, grabbing his arm, “Couldn’t you hear me, Kev?”

“I-I…” Nick stammers. Macy smiles up at him and squeezes his bicep.

“It is really loud in here,” Macy comments, having to shout a little over the music the DJ was playing and the chatter all around them.

“Y…yeah,” Nick says, voice cracking and Macy giggles. He can’t even process what’s happening, just that her touch is…so…he sighs and smiles at her.

“C’mon,” Macy says, “let’s go see if Stella found Joe and then I guess we can try Nick again since he’s still not here.” Macy grabs his hand and chews her lip.

“O..oh” Nick responds.

“Something’s been up with him lately, y’know? He seems so distant from all of us. I don’t understand what changed.” Nick’s heart is thundering in his chest now and he feels uncomfortable listening to Macy talk about him…she thinks she’s talking to Kevin. This isn’t right.

“M…macy…can…” Nick tries, but his stomach is in knots, his voice is too high pitched and doesn’t sound natural, and he just…can’t.

“Wow, Kev, you don’t sound too good…is your voice going? Stella is going to have a conniption!” She leads him backstage and glances around, Stella and the other boys aren’t back yet. Nick’s stomach lurches.

“Oh,” Macy says, “I guess she hasn’t found them…uh,” she glances around again, confused before saying “Ohhh well, guess we’ll just…wait here…” and leaning into him a little bit, smirking up at him and gazing into his brown eyes through his mask. Nick can’t even breathe.

Even Better: Chapter 3 & 4 (Psychic iTunes playlists and balls)

I thought I should update this because like, I just now realized it doesn’t have as many chapters as I thought it did. I’m probably going to be skipping ahead a bit in this chapter. That Cinderella Ball is making me want to. Gaaah. I can’t wait to get there!

Chapter Three

. . . . . . . .

There was only a week left until the Cinderella Ball and Nick was not looking forward to it. He tried on multiple occasions to get out of going, but Stella practically had a cow.

“You have to come, Nick,” Stella said. It was the thousandth time he had begged her not to force him to come. “You and your brothers are providing the entertainment for the evening.” Nick grimaced. He had almost forgotten that he had to perform. Well, this sucked.

“I don’t have a date,” Nick told her, “I don’t want to go alone.” Stella snorted.

“Nick,” She told him, walking over to the window in his room and opening it. The sound of screaming girls pierced his ears. He winced at the sound and gave Stella a “what are you getting at?” look. Stella motioned out the window. “You’ve got a whole sea of fangirls out there, Nick,” she told him, “Just pick one.” Nick stared at Stella and sighed.

That’s not the fangirl I want,He thought bitterly, turning away from his older brother’s best friend with a hurt expression on his face and headed towards one of the three fireman poles.

“Nick?” Stella asked, confused by his reaction, “Did I say something to upset you?” Nick stopped, his back still to her as he put his hand on the railing around the poles. He gathered all of his courage and turned to look at her again.

“No,” Nick said, a slight smile, “thanks for the advice, but I don’t want to cause a riot amongst those girls. Besides, I really like this outfit.” Stella laughed. It had been so long since the boys had been attacked by their fangirls that she had almost forgotten what little clothes-shredding terrors they really were.

“Are you going stag?” She asked before adding, “because I don’t have a date. I could go with you. It’ll be like a friend thing.” Nick smirked and stared down at his sneakers.

“Thanks for the offer, Stells,” He said, “But I have someone else in mind.”

“Who?” Stella asked, eyebrows raised. Nick wracked his brain for a name, any name. He didn’t want Stella to think that he was lying to her, even though he was. He just didn’t want to have to go with Stella. He couldn’t go with Stella. Any other time he would’ve accepted her offer, but now that he knew how bad it hurt to see one of your brothers with the girl you had fallen for…He couldn’t do that to Joe.

“Penny,” he blurted, automatically feeling stupid for saying it.

“Penny?” Stella asked, “didn’t she dump you and break your heart into a million pieces?” Nick winced. Way to put it lightly, Stella. “Besides,” she continued, “I heard that she’s going with Ricky.” Nick ground his teeth together. Did Stella always have to be so in tune with gossip?

“Oh,” He responded, feeling slightly embarrassed, “I’m sure I’ll figure something out then…”

“I just tol-” She stared, but he cut her off.

“Bye, Stella,” He said, running around the railing and sliding down the closest pole. Even if Stella was just trying to be nice and help him out, he couldn’t do that to Joe. Besides, he had a hunch Joe was going to ask her to go to the Cinderella thing soon anyway.

“Hey, Nick…” Joe said from where he was at the kitchen table, hunched over a couple cartons of milk. Okay, so maybe he had a little more than a hunch. Joe only drank copious amounts of milk when he was upset about something. Nick walked to the table and pulled out a chair.

“What is it, Joe?” Nick asked, taking a seat at the table.

“There’s this girl I like…” Joe said, trailing off. Nick knew where this was going.

“If you want to ask Stella to the Cinderella Ball then do it,” Nick said before Joe could continue. Joe stared at his brother in shock.

“Pfft.” Joe said, nervousness washing over his features, “I don’t want to ask Stella. What makes you think I’d want to go to…Stella, really?” Joe was a bad liar. Nick just shook his head and got up from the table, heading for the front door.

“Where are you going?” Joe called after him. Somewhere, nowhere, everywhere. Nick didn’t answer him. Instead, he opened the door and walked out into the cold winter air. He shoved his hands in his pockets to protect them from the cold. He just needed to get away for a little while. Maybe walking outside in the cold would help in take his mind off of Macy. Or at least give Joe the chance to ask Stella to the Cinderella Ball. That way he wouldn’t feel bad for declining her offer to go as friends.

“Hey, Nick!” He heard someone call out to him. He turned around, seeing Macy running to catch up with him.

“Macy?” Nick asked, checking his surroundings to make sure he was where he thought he was, “What’re you doing out here?”

“Kevin invited me over,” she said, a bit breathless.

“Oh…” He said, “why?”

“Operation get Joe to ask Stella,” she responded simply, “You want to help us?” Nick chuckled.

“No,” he said, he didn’t think he could stand seeing Macy and Kevin together anymore than he had to, “you two go ahead, I was just about to go for a walk.” Macy arched an eyebrow at him.

“It’s freezing out here, Nick,” Macy said, “Are you insane?” Nick stared at her in shock for a moment.

“Uh,” he said, “the cold doesn’t really bother me, but thanks for the concern…” he trailed off, staring down at the ground awkwardly.

“Come on, Nick,” Macy said, “Don’t you want to see me and Kevin shove Stella and Joe into a closet or something? It’ll be fun.” Her persuading was making it harder for him to continue with his earlier plan to go on a walk to clear his head.

“That would be a funny thing to watch…” Nick admitted, still staring at his shoes. Macy leaned forward, bending slightly so her face was in his field of vision. He took a step back.

“So you’ll help us?” She asked, a big smile on her face. Nick swore he felt his heart skip a beat. He loved that smile.

“Okay,” Nick said. Macy clapped her hands together and jumped once to show her excitement. Nick swallowed hard when she reached down and took his hand, leading him back towards the firehouse. “This is going to be awesome.”

Nick wondered what he had just gotten himself into.

. . . . . . . . .

My iTunes is psychic. Right when I typed “That’s not the fangirl I want, He thought bitterly” the song Can’t Have You by the Jonas Brothers started playing. Pretty freaky if you ask me. I apologize for the OOC. And yay, Joella chapter! I had to put this in as a filler.

Chapter Four

BEGIN &&

Helping Kevin and Macy get Stella and Joe to admit their feelings would be even better if he didn’t have to watch Kevin and Macy look at each other all googly-eyed in the process.

He didn’t even think their plan was working, but they weren’t doing much planning as it was anyway. They just kept glancing at each other shyly and blushing and looking away. Nick didn’t know whether he wanted to scream or vomit. He supposed he wanted to do both.

“So,” Nick said after they had looked at each other and blushed for the millionth time that evening, “How’re we doing this?” The two looked at him, shrugging their shoulders. This was not going the way he had hoped. He hoped that this would help get her off of his mind. But he supposed that working with her might’ve been poor judgment on his part.

He bit his lip, glaring at the floor. This must’ve been what they needed him for; they wanted him to be the one to come up with a plan. He could see where they were coming from. Because, let’s face it, Kevin wasn’t the best person to go to for coming up with plans. Nick sighed and stood up, marching into the kitchen and staring down at his older brother. Did he have to do everything around here?

“Joe,” Nick said, noticing that there were more milk cartons littered all over the table, and Joe’s head was resting against his arm. He groaned, turning his head slightly to the side, letting Nick know he had heard him.

“Go upstairs and ask Stella to the Cinderella ball or I swear I’m gonna do it myself.” Joe sat up quickly and glared at his younger brother.

“Not cool, man!” He yelled and Nick resisted the urge to smirk.

“I’m serious,” Nick said, “I’m going to ask Stella if you don’t. Just think of how amazing she’s going to look in her gown…” he trailed off. Joe looked completely freaked.

“You wouldn’t ask her to the ball,” Joe said, “You wouldn’t.” Nick crossed his arms.

“Someone else asked the girl I wanted to go with,” he said, “so…give me one good reason why I shouldn’t go with Stella.”

“Because!” Joe shouted, getting up from the table, and moving so he was in his little brother’s face. Nick held his ground, staring back at Joe, his face completely serious.

“Because isn’t an answer,” Nick responded, smirking at his older brother. Joe cried out and stomped his foot in frustration. Nick turned away from his brother and started towards the stairs that lead to their room.

“I’m gonna go ask her right now,” Nick said, “I’m sure she’ll say yes. Seeing as how no one else wants to ask her.” He heard Joe huff behind him, but he made no motion to move from his spot. “Besides, earlier she asked me if I wanted to go with her. You know since no one else had asked her.” Nick continued towards the stairs, hoping his brother would bite soon.

“Whatever, man!” He said, pushing past his younger brother and heading up the stairs. Nick just chuckled lightly. Who knew bringing competition into this would make Joe finally ask Stella out? Oh right. He did.

He turned around, brushing his shoulders off and heading back into the living room where Kevin and Macy were beaming at him.

“That was perfect, Nick,” Macy said, bounding up to him and throwing her arms around his neck. Nick laughed nervously, hugging her back as she jumped up and down against him. He looked over at his oldest brother, trying to get his mind off of the cute brunette that was jumping up and down happily.

“High five, dude,” Kevin said, holding up his hand. Nick smiled, slapping his brother’s hand. Macy stayed against him for a few seconds longer before she pulled away and pulled her cell phone, which had just vibrated, out of her pocket.

“It’s a text from, Stella!” Macy shrieked. Kevin and Nick leaned in, reading over her shoulder as she opened it.

Omg, Macy. Joe just asked me to the Cinderella Ball. I can’t wait to get started on our dresses! We’re going to look amazing!. –Stella.

Macy squealed, hugging Nick again. Nick bit his lip and sighed as he hugged her back. His heart was racing and he found himself wondering why Macy thought it was a good idea to hug him.

Sure, he was the one who had made it possible that Joe and Stella had finally(sort of) gotten together, but that didn’t mean she needed to—he swallowed—press her warm body against his and…rest her head on his shoulder. Her scent assaulted his nostrils and he took a shaky breath.

“This is going to be so awesome,” she said. He could feel her breath against his neck and he almost whimpered. Goosebumps had appeared on his skin. He held his breath.

“Yeah,” Nick said, closing his eyes for a moment to try and clear this whole scene out of his head. He needed to escape from what was going on. And he needed to do it without hurting Macy by shoving her away. But even when he closed his eyes he could still feel her body against his. He could still feel her breathing against his neck.

“Group hug,” he heard his oldest brother announce from behind him, wrapping his arms around both him and Macy. Nick sighed.

Didn’t he know he was making his a lot harder than it should’ve been? Didn’t they know that the girl he had wanted to take (that got asked by someone else) was the girl that was hugging him right now?

No, he guessed they didn’t know. He really should learn to voice his feelings better.
